Drawing inspiration from this philosophy, our packaging design centres around an expansive 'Y', symbolizing unity and connection with its three strokes converging at a singular point. This design not only offers a striking visual focal point but also divides the space to showcase both the pure water component and the botanical flavours. Illustrated by the talented Indigenous artist, Leticia Anne, the artwork incorporates meaningful Indigenous symbols, such as gathering places, female figures, and essential ingredients. Each element serves as a narrative thread, inviting consumers to embark on a journey of cultural appreciation with every sip.
Yaala Sparkling stands as a testament to honouring tradition while embracing the vitality of the present moment. Our packaging not only pays homage to indigenous heritage and storytelling but also embodies the spirit of connection and celebration.
Ancient wisdom, present moments.
It was a privilege to collaborate with Tara Medika, a visionary from the Wiradjuri Yinaa community and the driving force behind Yaala Sparkling, to craft a brand and packaging that captivates the essence of their botanically infused sparkling waters. In the Wiradjuri language, 'Yaala' signifies 'the present moment,' a reminder of the profound significance found in connections, laughter, and shared narratives—often accompanied by a refreshing beverage.
